In the 1960's, Garrett County native James Stephens,
armed with a love
for his family, a 7th grade education, and a desire to succeed, stepped
out on faith and started a driveway paving company by the name of Mt.
Top Paving, Inc.. For nearly 30 years he would build an honest, quality
company which would serve his hometown of Oakland, MD and surrounding
areas.
In
1990, James passed the business on to his son and long-time employee
Michael, who for the past 19 years has built and expanded upon the
solid foundation laid by his father. Mt. Top Paving, Inc. is renowned
throughout the mountains of Western MD as a premier paving company who
pride themselves in the details of the job. Some of the original
employees are still working with the company, and are among the most
experienced and skilled pavers anywhere.
Our
services offered includes blacktop paving, StreetPrint®
pavement texturing, tar & chipping, retaining wall systems and
more. Seal coating services are also available via business associate
Rodney Bird of Mt. Top Seal Coating, Inc.. Quality and honesty are
complementary with every job.
